About the Role
Crest Grid Power Solutions LLP is looking for an experienced power systems engineer to perform grid interconnection and power system simulation studies for our customers with wind and hybrid renewable energy portfolios. This is a senior individual contributor role: you'll own technical delivery on grid compliance, RMS/EMT modeling, and balance of plant design while also building and mentoring a growing team of studies engineers and eventually stepping into the Lead role for our Grid Integration team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review RMS and EMT power system simulation models for wind, PV, BESS, and hybrid power plants.
- Apply detailed working knowledge of grid interconnection requirements and grid codes to project-specific studies.
- Design and review Balance of Plant (BoP) designs for wind power plants.
- Write and review technical study reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Guide and mentor engineers/trainees within the team.
Qualifications
- Master's, or Bachelor's degree in Power Systems Engineering or a closely related electrical engineering specialization. (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in power system modeling within the utility-scale renewable energy domain.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience working with PSS®E Generic and PSS®E User-Defined Models (UDMs) for Inverter based resources, specifically wind.
- Demonstrated experience designing and reviewing renewable grid interconnection solutions.
- Proficient in English communication, written and verbal.
- Working proficiency in industry-standard simulation tools: PSS®E and PSCAD (TSAT will be a plus).
Competency
- Proficiency in power system simulation tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, PSLF, TSAT, and ASPEN
- Solid electrical engineering foundation across power/load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, transient stability analysis, and balance of plant design.
- Innovative, results-oriented approach with demonstrated problem-solving exposure
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Proven ability to efficiently manage projects/tasks and guide a team of engineers.
